Football and firemen in Malaga

Coming full circle, we arrived back in Malaga. We had one night to explore before begrudgingly catching our plane the next morning, so we checked into the hostel and set off to see what was going on.

Train tours in Antequera

We had finished off the previous night by drinking local shots with the owner of a small taberna, which were poured from a label-less, old bottle that was pulled out the depths of a freezer. I don't know exactly what was in that bottle, or how long it had been sitting at the back of that freezer, but I do know it tasted of sweet, rich caramel and was quite strong.

Holá Córdoba

I fell in love with Córdoba as soon as we arrived. The architecture, the mix of Roman and Moorish cultures, cobbled alleyways, abundance of orange trees and warm sun. There was nothing I didn't like.

Goodbye Sevilla.

Sevilla is beautiful, big, and busy, and in all honesty you could spend a month exploring and still not see anything. Unfortunately it was our final few hours in the city - so we decided to enjoy it and experience what we could without rushing.

Plaza de Espana.

The 32 degree heat of the afternoon sun made us want to find a spot where we could just relax and enjoy a chilled laze in Sevilla. And as if by magic, at that perfect time, we stumbled (literally) upon the stunning Plaza de Espana.

Avoiding the crowds.

The crowds that we had experienced in Seville so far, were nothing compared to the packed streets surrounding the Cathedral. From large American school groups to Gypsies selling lucky heather, there was barely space to move.
