Bottoms Up.

On the far side of the square, there is a single door. There is nothing special about this door, and to anyone passing it would mean very little. However, step through it and follow a tight set of steps down into a cavern below, and you will find quite a gem.

With a museum dedicated to the making of beer, and production on site, this little tucked away secret is a real treat.

The museum itself is a little limited, being only one room with a series of vats and short video. Quite honestly, it would not be worth the €5.00 price tag, however, it is after the museum that the real fun begins. Each entrance ticket comes with a try of one of three beers, pale, dark or fruit.

A tiny little bar tucked to one edge houses a mixture of small tables (you'll be forced to bunk up with other visitors and make new friends, but it really does add to the whole experience).

With a crisp, rich fruity flavour, this fruity beer is quite honestly one of the best I have ever tried. Perfect for hot summer days, or indeed rainy autumn travels.

You'll find the museum at Grand-Place 10, in the main square, and despite the lack of museum, you can't visit Brussels and not have a beer. Or two.
