Map it up.

The maps have been pulled out, the passports are ready, travels are being planned!

This year is the centenary anniversary of the outbreak of WWI. As such, I have been desperately wanting to go back out to Belgium and revisit some of the memorials.

When I was at school I went on a couple of 'battlefields' trips, where we toured around Northern France and Belgium, whilst learning about WWI. We had visited Menin Gate, Thiepval and Ypres Cloth Hall. I always remember these trips as being fascinating and they are something that really got me into my military history.

However I want to return, without the school restrictions, and a bit more understanding of the history itself.

We've only just really started planning, so we're looking for places to visit, apartments to rent, and the best travel tips. It's exciting to be planning something again, and know that whole new cities are just around the corner!
